Abromeit made her film debut as the lead in the Lionsgate film, Know Thy Enemy (2009). Soon after, she began to book roles in films, such as Sydney White (2007), Sex Drive (2008), I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell (2009), Beatdown (2010), Setup (2011) alongside Bruce Willis, and the blockbuster Battle Los Angeles (2011). On the small screen, Abromeit recurred in Devious Maids (2013), One Tree Hill (2003) as well as Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots (2013). Guest appearances have included CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000), Battle Creek (2015), Rake (2014) and Supernatural (2005), among others. Abromeit received a Best Actress award from the Beverly Hills Film festival for the indie drama, Diving Normal (2013).

Abromeit currently resides in Los Angeles.
